EICC works with other groups in our sector to help ensure successful implementation of the Code by encouraging cross-fertilization of ideas and best practices, enhancing efficiencies and reducing the potential for redundancies.

The EICC and the Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) Supply Chain Working Group partner in the development and deployment of a consistent set of tools and processes to measure and monitor supply chain corporate responsibility. EICC and GeSI embrace leadership and transparency as the driving themes of our partnership.

EICC and GeSI are currently partnering on the following deliverables:

• Risk assessment tool and methodology to assess risks in the supply chain.
• Supplier self-assessment questionnaire for collecting supplier performance data.
• Common auditing approach and methodology.
• The E-TASC Internet Database, a Web-based information management system that provides companies with a platform to collect, manage and analyze social and environmental data provided voluntarily by their respective suppliers.
• Standardized supply chain reporting framework.
• Capability-building plans to improve awareness and skills of suppliers, auditors, and workers.
• Shared communications, marketing and stakeholder relations documents, plans and events.
